MODS & MODES 1.1 MODS GENERAL
Organizers have NO rights to determine the mod used for tournament purposes. ESPGL Enterprise has decided to standardize all competitions for Call of Duty 4 in Malaysia to be Promod live.
This is to stop splitting the community apart to play different games and it is extremely unhealthy for the competitive scene.
If the organizer(s) cannot comply to this, ESPGL will also ban or discourage their registered teams to participate the competition and it will be strictly enforced.

A total of 15 Minutes of wait time will be given to teams. If they do not arrive within that period, disciplinary action will be taken. This may lead to a disqualification, walk over or other forms of punishment at the discretion of the organizing party.
3.2 Setup and Configurations
Teams are to set up in a orderly and timely fashion. 10 Minutes of set up time (includes in game set up) is given to teams as soon as they enter their tournament area.

Disputes should be addressed towards a marshal or head marshal and should only be disputed AFTER the match is complete, unless the disputed claim has an effect on the overall gameplay.
For more information on warning and disputes, refer to Chapter 4.1.5
3.4 Behavior & Language
Participants are expected to behave appropriately and maintain order while near/within the tournament area. Teams may be warned or penalized depending on the severity of the action.
Competitors are not allowed to use global in-game chat in an abusive, offensive, vulgar or spamming manner at any point during a match. This includes pre-match, intermission and post match periods as well. A marshal “may” give 3 warnings per player which will result in a forfeit or disqualification.
If the participant fails to comply the marshal's orders without a justifiable reason (i.e technical difficulty), a warning will be given as well.
When a match is live, only team captains are allowed to use global in-game messages. Other players must use team-only in-game messages.
Violators of these rules are subject to punishment at an administrators discretion, which may include player suspensions(s) or forfeiture of the match.
All match disputes must be filed by a team captain with the tournament administrator immediately.
Types of Warning 1. Cursing, rude gestures at a teammate, self or opponent(s) 2. Intentional/unintentional discriminative open chat 3. Physical abuse of provided equipment 4. Dead Chat (refer to chapter 4.1.1) 5. Glitching or intentional bug abuse (refer to chapter 5.2) 6. Insulting marshals, players, spectators or organizers 7. Language
Abusive/Racist/Discriminative/Insulting comments or remarks are considered an offence. There are no restrictions to what language a team may use during a tournament, however, swearing in those languages still earns the team a warning/penalty whenever prudent.
Player DQ/Player Penalty
If a player receives a total of 3 warnings, the player will be DQed from the team.
If more than a player is Player DQ’d at a time, the entire team is automatically disqualified from the tournament.
Disqualification
Disqualified teams are to leave the tournament area immediately with opponents awarded a win/walk-over.
Further action may be taken depending on the severity of the teams actions at the discretion of the organizing team.
Any awards prior to the disqualification may be voided and a new winner will be selected.
Tournament rules
4.1 General Tournament Rules
The Organizers reserve the right to modify the rules as needed. This includes changes due to software updates or releases, competition committee decisions and all other changes deemed necessary to online tournaments.
Teams are responsible to check the rules on a regular basis and prior to every match to ensure they are in complete compliance. Teams must understand that rules listed are guidelines to ensure fair and competitive play and are subject to interpretation by the administrators based on the spirit of the game.
4.1.1 Dead Silence
Players can speak to team mates but are not allowed to speak to the competitor. Players can only speak to the alive when they are still alive in-game. Once their players are killed they are barred from speaking to the alive.
Players may do a final report to the alive before they are completely barred from speaking. The duration of the report must be within 1-2 seconds.
Players who are dead are allowed to speak and type to the dead. However, suspicious acts of attempt to communicate with the alive will be warned by the marshal. This is done under the marshal’s jurisdiction of evaluating the level of suspicion of the act. The marshal’s warning is final and going against the marshal’s jurisdiction would result in another warning until disqualification takes place.
Players are also allowed to scan when they're dead.
If there is a complaint to be made regarding the marshal, do so after the match is over and not DURING the match.
4.1.2 Console Commands
*Any alterations to the mini map is STRICTLY PROHIBITED * Binding Attack to the scroll up/down button and or multiple attack buttons is also STRICTLY PROHIBITED
If teams are caught using these binds or alterations, action will be taken against them.
4.1.3 Configurations
Any configuration changes other than the ones provided by the game (Using 3rd party programs) will be considered as hacking.
Teams being caught using either will be punished at an administrator’s discretion.
Demos (replays) of each match will be required by every player. In the event of a dispute, the tournament administrator may need to review a particular match demo.
A team accused of abuse may be disqualified automatically if he/she does not have a record to prove his/her innocence. Beware!
4.1.4 Substitutions
Substitutions can be made at anytime during a half-time period of a map. However, they may only do this ONCE per match.
Substitutes must be a registered substitute player and may not be replaced by anyone else other than his own registered squadmates. The substituted member must be from the same clan or outside the competitive clan hall, otherwise the registered team will be rejected from participating.
4.1.5 Warning & Disputes
Disputes must be directed to a marshal/head marshal. Upon such an event, the game will continue until it reaches either a half time or completion. Demos/records will be use as a basis of a dispute and also evidence if need be.
Teams will be given 3 cumulative warnings before being disqualified. If players wish to dispute about the opposing team, team leader must inform the marshal immediately of any inconsistency with the opposing team. A team calling a dispute may be penalized if the claims are false.
Judges/Marshalls decision will be final.
4.1.6 Disconnections
In the event of a disconnection, scores will be reset to the previous scores before the disconnection regardless of the state of the game before it. If a server disconnection occurs within the first 8 minutes after the match starts, the match will be restarted.
If any player from either team intentionally/unintentionally disconnects, the match will continue with insufficient team members.
4.2 PROMOD SPECIFIC RULES PROMOD – Double Elimination, Single Map, Promod Knockout MR12* Maps Played: Backlot, Crash, Strike, Citystreets (District), Crossfire Map Selection: According to stages of brackets Side Selection: Knife on match map to pick your side
Glitching & Bug abuse
5.1 Definition If a player or a team is found/caught abusing a bug or a glitch, they will be immediately disqualified upon having proof of such actions (done so during and after the game from replays/marshal notice). There will be no warnings for such behaviours. Explanation of a glitch – a location that gives total advantage to the player within it, where he/she can see, shoot and kill his opponent, where as his opponent cannot return fire/shoot nor kill or see through those obstacles. It is not a glitch if:-
i) The opponent can shoot through the object and ; ii) The opponent can see the “abuser” iii) The abuser is not OUTSIDE/UNDER the map
5.2 Known Bug Abuses / Glitches
Maps: Backlot
B Bombsite building see-through glitch Leaning towards a wall at the B bombsite under the stairs reveals the lower broken area to the abuser.
A Bombsite basement tile glitch Staying below in the basement of A bombsite may reveal opponents moving in from the side entrance via a glitched wall. It is unavoidable to see through it at times, however, if a player is caught using it, it is a punishable offence.
Mid-house to Side-MG Out of map jump Jumping out of the map is strictly prohibited.
Maps: Strike
Palm Tree Glitch Hiding inside a palm tree in the courtyard is considered a glitch. (near Attackers Spawn)
DISQUALIFICATIONS
6.0 The DQ FAQ
There are 2 types of DQs, one being a full team disqualification, another being a player disqualification. In the event of more than one player being disqualified in a team, that team is automatically disqualified.
How do player DQs work? Player DQs work like a red card in a soccer game. In this case, 3 warnings from a marshal will cause a player DQ. A player which is under this penalty cannot play for the rest of that particular map.
Do warnings carry over to other games? No. As soon as a session is completed, all warning cards/tags will be removed off a player. This however, does not mean a player can keep doing it. If the player is DQ the next match he plays, the team will be automatically DQ from the competition entirely.
